These Terms of Service govern the use of the services provided by Penelope Hamilton Counselling and Psychotherapy (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Services Provided
Penelope Hamilton Counselling and Psychotherapy provides professional counselling and psychotherapy services, which include but are not limited to individual therapy and group therapy sessions. Services are offered both in-person and via telehealth (e.g., video or phone consultations), depending on the agreement between the therapist and the client.
3. Appointment Booking and Cancellations
- Booking: Appointments can be booked via phone or email.
- Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within this time frame incur a cancellation fee of 100%. If you miss an appointment without notice, a full session fee will apply.
4. Fees and Payments
- Fees: Our fees for services are outlined and are subject to change. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
- Payment: Payment for services is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept payment by cash, credit card and debit card.
5. Confidentiality and Privacy
We take the confidentiality of your personal information very seriously. All personal and health information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. However, please be aware that confidentiality may be broken in situations where we are required by law to disclose information or if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
6. Telehealth Services
If you are accessing therapy through telehealth (online or phone consultations), you agree to:
- Use a secure internet connection.
- Ensure a private, quiet, and safe environment for the session.
- Acknowledge that telehealth may have technical limitations (e.g., internet connectivity or software issues).
7. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date personal and health information.
- Attend scheduled sessions or provide sufficient notice for cancellations.
- Take responsibility for your mental health, including following through on treatment plans and communicating openly with the therapist.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Penelope Hamilton Counselling and Psychotherapy is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of our services, including but not limited to emotional, physical, or psychological injury, loss of personal data, or technical issues arising from telehealth services.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting.
